Medipher uses a small number of essential cookies and similar local storage entries. These are required for the site to work — for example, keeping your session on the Explain page, remembering that you've dismissed a banner, or storing draft input so it isn't lost if you refresh. Essential cookies do not require consent under UK PECR/UK GDPR.

With your permission, Medipher uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example how many people open a guide or glossary page, how many go on to use Explain, and whether an explanation succeeded or failed. This helps us decide what to improve.

Analytics is off until you choose to accept it. Before you accept, Google Consent Mode is set so analytics storage is denied. If you reject analytics, Medipher continues to work normally — nothing about Explain, guides, the glossary or feedback depends on analytics.

We do not intentionally send Google Analytics the medical text you paste into Explain, the explanations we generate, your written feedback, or anything you type into a search box. Our analytics events carry only things like a page path, a published guide or glossary slug, and a broad technical failure category such as "network" or "server".

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser only, as a single "granted" or "denied" value.

We do not set marketing, advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not share information with ad networks. If this changes, we will update this page and require your consent first.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of Medipher from working correctly. Guides for the main browsers:
